Drive the Safety culture at Sellpy's new site in Wrocław

As our EHS Specialist you will take full ownership of safety, fire protection, and environmental compliance at our new site. This is a highly independent role where you will build the EHS framework from the ground up to support our operational launch and ramp-up.

Your responsibilities
Ensure legal compliance regarding workplace safety, fire protection, and environmental obligations
Plan, organize, and manage the delivery of HSE trainings for employees at all levels.
Create and update workplace risk assessments for all processes
Develop, implement, and continuously improve the site’s HSE management system in compliance with Polish law and industry standards
Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions
Oversee equipment inspections in line with legal and manufacturer requirements
Supervise HSE audits, reporting, and KPIs; communicate results and drive improvements
Cooperate with authorities (Labour, Fire, Sanitary Inspectorates, UDT) during inspections and audits
Provide daily expert support for site management and shift managers
Participate in technical acceptance of equipment and obtain necessary operational permits
Introduce a framework for near miss/incident reporting
Develop and implement H&S instructions for machines, equipment, and work areas
Our requirements
Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety (BHP) or a Master’s degree plus postgraduate studies in HSE
Meeting the formal requirements of a Chief HSE Specialist (Główny Specjalista ds. BHP) under Polish law
At least 5 years of professional experience in HSE roles, preferably in warehouses, logistics, or production
Fluency in both Polish and English (essential for international reporting and cooperation with official authorities)
Practical knowledge of warehouse safety, risk assessment methodologies, and environmental regulations (BDO)
Proven track record of leading incident investigations and cooperating with external authorities
Strong ability to work independently, provide flexible solutions, and influence across all levels of the organization
High personal integrity, resilience, and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment
Availability for occasional travel within Poland and Europe
