Meet Emma: From Customer Support to Global Influencer Marketing Lead and her Sellpy Journey
How did your journey at Sellpy begin?
I joined Sellpy seven years ago, straight after finishing my studies. It felt entrepreneurial, with an “anything is possible” kind of energy.
I started in Customer Support, which gave me a strong understanding of our customers, product and business. After some time, I combined Customer Support with a role as Influencer Coordinator, working hands-on with partnerships and campaigns. From there, I moved into broader influencer and brand roles across the Nordics, taking on responsibility for B2B collaborations and strategic brand work.
Today, I’m Global Influencer Marketing Lead, leading a team of six across our European markets.
What do you do in your role today?
Alongside leading and developing the team, I define and drive the global influencer strategy, develop scalable collaboration concepts, oversee budgets and KPIs, and ensure influencer marketing supports both brand positioning and commercial objectives.
I work closely with PR, Social Media, and local market teams to create integrated campaigns and activations that strengthen brand visibility and overall market impact. It’s a role where creativity meets business.
How has your internal journey developed?
It has developed quite naturally. As Sellpy has grown, new needs have appeared, and I’ve often had the chance to step in and try new things. From Customer Support to influencer marketing in the Nordics, then Brand Marketing, and now a global role
What made you want to grow internally?
I think it comes down to enjoying it from the start. When you feel you’re in the right place, you want to contribute more.
Sellpy has grown quickly, and growth creates opportunities. I’ve always had a drive to develop, and here I’ve truly felt that it’s possible.
The culture is very open. You can try, sometimes fail, learn and try again. That makes it easier to take the next step in your career instead of feeling like you need to change employer to grow.
What are you most proud of?
I’m proud of how we’ve built and developed our influencer marketing across markets, especially the long-term relationships we’ve created. To me, that reflects strong relationship-building and consistency.
More than anything, I’m proud of the team behind it. Influencer marketing moves quickly, and everything we’ve built, from long-term partnerships to physical activations like pop-ups and events, has been the result of close collaboration.
What has surprised you the most about working here?
How flat the organisation is, and how kind and open the culture remains despite the fast pace. It’s a dynamic environment, but there’s always a strong sense of trust and support.
What would you say to someone considering applying?
It’s an exciting time to join Sellpy. When a company grows quickly, you don’t always know exactly what it will look like in a year and that’s what creates opportunities.
If you have ideas, drive and want to help build something, there is real space for you here.
